Mel Lofurno, recognized as a dynamic, globally-oriented executive with wide-ranging experience, has consistently demonstrated the vision and leadership that provides an atmosphere where motivated business teams can excel. His approach to leading the development and implementation of business strategies has resulted in successful ventures in Europe, Asia and across the U.S.

He has been responsible for leading global industrial businesses for more than twenty years and traveled extensively, including an "ex-pat" assignment in Europe. His early experience in product management, sales, operations, human resources and engineering has provided a solid background for the organization and strategic planning skills he applies in his management responsibilities as a business leader.

Mr. Lofurno has focused on businesses that supply critical materials to the electronics industry and has gained the respect of customers, colleagues and competitors in this demanding marketplace. A holder of patents in the semiconductor industry, he has the ability to meld the technical and commercial aspects of business and to provide the organization with the direction and support required for success. He has played key roles in successful mergers, acquisitions and strategic alliances.

In 2000, Mr. Lofurno created Lofurno Corporation and now teaches the principles of leadership and business management that he has successfully demonstrated in his worldwide responsibilities. Drawing on the knowledge and experiences acquired while working for the Dupont Company and the Degussa-Hüls Corporation, he helps business managers in a wide range of businesses visualize what they must do to realize their goals. Working with clients to achieve “clarity of purpose” and focusing on pro-active, goal-driven, principle-centered leadership, he leads clients intransitioning from a reactive mode of behavior, carving out "time" for them to focus on those issues that accomplish measurable results.

Currently, in addition to working with clients, Mr. Lofurno serves as chairman of the Hunterdon/Somerset (NJ) Employers Council, conducts management workshops and seminars, writes a monthly column on "management through leadership" for an industrial trade journal and has been interviewed on the business channel of American Airlines in-flight audio program and a major Philadelphia radio station. In 2004, he published "The Managers' Guide to Getting Control of Your Business, a how-to hands-on manual for handling management issues.
